Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

our new trailer !!

Ok so we looked at a 2012 puma 28 foot travel trailer and we decided to trade our 2011 rockwood roo in and go for it!!well thats were the story begins we towed our trailer over to the dealer to do the paper work , the girl that works in the office was off so the owner said take the trail and come back next week and do the paper work then, because i did not have a truck to tow the new trailer a friend was going to take it home for us, it started to rain and was raining really hard by the time we got home about 30 min away  we were out in the trailer and there was WATER !!! running down the inside wall at the front of the trailer at the head of the bed the end tabels had water on them and the plastic bag the matress was in had water on it so we were not happy!!! called the dealer and told them to come get the trailer and because we did not have any paper work done it was no problem!! So after talking to the dealer they felt really bad about the leak and said it was most likely coming in around a marker light on the front of the trailer  i told them if they could fix it and tell me were the leak was i would still take the trailer so the trailer has two seams across the front and the lower one was sealed but the one higher up was not I am wondering because of the heavy rain when towing is that were the water got in. The same freind that towed the trailer home was camping the weekend and there was 2 trailer like the one we are looking at and both the seams were sealed so now i have to wait and talk to the dealer on monday and see what they found and ask if thats were the leak was I just hope it`s not the start of more problems to come they said that they have had new trailers leak befor and once they fix them they are good!!

Depending on how much water you took on ,I would worry about insulation damage .....Mold growth....Electrical at lights and outlets....De lamination of wall board and ceiling units......mold growth in carpeting.....mold growth below vinyl flooring

Some water damage when not taken care of rite away , will cause bad problems in the future......check it carefully and get your promises in writing!!!

This info is provided for your protection and to give you ideas of what can happen , a good dealer prefers to keep a returning customer and will go the extra mile to make sure your coming back , and your friends.....

What a shame, that type of workmanship should never make it out of the factory. So much for Quality Control...

I too would be worried about the water damage the trailer has sustained. Some of it might not show up for weeks/months. If you love the trailer, I would get a different one from the dealer.

I wouldn't touch that trailer or any of the other like models they have on the lot.

That's just not a good situation to go into knowing that there were problems. I'd be looking at different models and staying away from the leakers.

Looking at:
F-350/Ram 3500 type truck, possibly an Airstream or a smaller 5th Wheel.

However, there is still time to change the configuration, just a plan.

You're emotionally attached to that trailer for some reason. listen to the people. Why take damaged goods!!!

Hi everyone! I have such a situation, we want to repair our trailer, found spare parts in shop camping world. But recently I came across a bad review on YouTube about them and I don't know..... Can I trust them? Perhaps someone has already used their product and can help me? I'll leave here a link to the camping world review www.youtube.com/watch

Camping World overall has a rather mixed reputation. Some locations can do good work while others can't. If you bought from them and they provide the warranty you will probably need to go to them. If not, I'd suggest looking around for a local shop.

Now, buying the parts and doing the work yourself is a different story.

Many full-timers won't use Camping World for service work because of their overall reputation. We don't, but then we take our Foretravel back to Nacogdoches, TX for service work each year.

It isn't really an ad.  They have been here a while, and those that just advertise usually get deleted.

Now, that said, this is an old thread, so anyone reading it should be careful of the early comments as they may be out of date.  Also, if someone thinks that a new thread or a comment on any thread is one that shouldn't be there, one should either contact Howard or myself and let us determine what posts need to be removed.
