Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I finally got around to installing the PressurePro TPMS sensors on our rig and also got an infrared thermometer to check tire/hub temps with while transiting.
Yesterday we were traveling from NY over to CT and passed through some decently hilly but definitely not mountains in the eastern foothills of the Catskills. Before installing the sensors I had mades sure the F450 tires were at 75/60 per door sticker and the trailer tires were at the recommended 120.
After towing a couple of hours we stopped at a rest stop and I temp checked the wheels. Truck was about 150 front and 130 rear and the trailer was in the 145-158 range depending on which tire it was. Checked the PressurePro for pressures, the truck was at 80/67 and the trailer was all up around 138-140.
I know that the wheels heat up from braking as well as the tire pressure going up from temperature change while driving…but since this is the first time I actually used either the temp gauge or the pressure monitor I wondered if these increases were in line with what I should expect. I'm guessing they are since all the tires were about the same percent pressure increase and the wheel temps were comparable so it doesn't look like anything was running any hotter/higher than the average…but it's always good so ask others for observations.
All temps and pressures are in normal ranges after being driven.
Of course the only way to know the proper starting pressures for all the tires is to know what load they are carrying. But with the knowledge you have until you can get weighed wheel-by-wheel, the changes in your pressures are normal (around 10 - 15% of starting pressure). If your tires are underinflated for the load, temperatures will increase above normal and, therefore, so will pressures.
As for temperature changes, those are normal too. Keep an eye out for significant temperature changes on one wheel compared to others and for any temps approaching 200 degrees.
Since I know nothing about "Skydrive" nor the forum participant that posted the above comment with a link to a Skydrive source, I would like to know if anyone knows anything about whether there have ever been computer "virus" issues with Skydrive.
While I might be interested in the information in "jadatis's" program, I have no intention of downloading anything until I know more about both Skydrive and jadatis's downloadable file.
Should anyone know of virus issues with Skydrive or anything else about jadatis's file, kindly let me know so that I can decide whether to leave his comment or not. After all, this is jadatis's only post at RV Dreams.

Skydrive appears to be Microsofts response to Google docs a place to put things.
The real question is the Excel spreadsheet you have no idea what you may be getting into unless you know the source you're getting it from. I don't know the poster well enough to say trust don't trust. How good / current is your virus scanner?
There are a number of tire presure / temp charts out there on the web.
Thanks Howard. That was about what I figured but was just verifying. Getting a wheel by wheel weighing is on our list of things to do but will have to wait until we run into you on our travels or hopefully the New Horizons Rally will have somebody on hand next spring that can do it. I assume there are others that also do wheel by wheel weighing but haven't run across any yet.

I probably registered a while ago , to give answer to a tire-pressure related question, but did not do the answer , so this was my first post here.
I am frequently googling for tire-pressure , because I once got hold of the formula that the tire-makers in Europe use , and went running with it.
I live in Holland.
Learned myself Excell with help of different furum users , and made spreadsheets for it. Translated a few to English to go worldwide with it.
Skydrive is what you can use when you have a Hotmail adress and I planted many files on the public map of it to refer to in fora.
Problem is that they constantly chanche the lay out of it , so downloading from it needs an other way in time.
But when you download a document of it, you can first do a virus check before opening it.
You can also open some Spreadsheets in the browser, but this cant handle sheetprotection annd data validation, that I use in most spreadsheets.
Sheetprotection to prefent overwriting formulas, and data validation to make dropdown-boxes to select for instance the loadindex with their weights in kg and lbs.
