Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello everyone

Well I have been lurking on this site now for over a year and I guess its finally time to jump right in. My wife and I have been RV'rs since 2000 and within the last few years started to talk seriously about Full timing. We make an annual trip to Ouray CO from our home in Western NY and stay at the wonderful KOA there. Sitting around and talking with other full timers and the workcampers really put us at ease about many of our concerns. In just a very short time we made some wonderful friends that we look forward to seeing every year when we return. Even found a riding(motorcycle) partner to go into the mountains with. Well we finally made the decision to do it. No turning back. We both love being on the road, our kids are cool with it, no grandchildren yet, its time to do this. We really started to think about our present day lives being fairly mundane and routine. Loosing my sister to Cancer last year personally gave me a huge push. It made me think about what I really wanted out of this short life. We are both in our mid 50's and still in pretty good shape. We will have to work on the road but crunching the early numbers it looks good. The amount of info here combined with all the people posting on the forum has been an overwhelming help as we start to prepare. Launch date is hopefully next Autumn.

Brian (and wife),

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums as an active participant.  It can be astounding of how much information and knowledge we can gain simply by "lurking," but there is so much more to learn when we can ask our own questions.  So, we look forward to your questions and since you're already an RV'er, we also look forward to your comments and answers to the questions of others.

Jo and I wish you good fortune and smooth sailing in your planning and research.

Terry

Welcome to the forum from a displaced WNY member. Grew up near Jamestown but have only been back a couple times in the last 30+ years. Hope to get back there to visit family one of these days.
