Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  This is one of the friendliest sites with a lot of helpful and knowledgeable folks.  Taking them all into consideration, I would image that the active pariticipants have experience with every form of an RV.

We look forward to any questions and comments that you make as we tend to learn from each other.  Good luck with the research and planning.

Terry

Welcome to this site. You will find a lot of help here with some good people giving advice.

In January of 2011 we went to an RV show in Indianapolis and also found this site about the same time. With the good information found here we prepared for FT and by October we had sold the house and were on the road. We don't comment much in the forums but the people here are a great source of encouragement, advice and good stories (Except Howard and Linda's current engine adventure!!!).

I'm not sure how long you have to be full-time before you stop being a "newbie" but I find that I pick up some tip from this site almost every week.

Welcome to your new life - Art and Mary Mahan

Sure, use whatever is your choice.  I recommend you use plenty of water.  Avoid the tower of death at all costs.  I also hope you have a flush arrachment for the black tank.  It helps to clear the tank.

When you don't keep enough liquids in the black tank and or you don't flush it correctly ... solids can build up into a ... pile or tower and cause ... issues yeah issues.

Tower of death happens when Rvr's leave the black tank valve open instead of waiting until it is at least 1/2 to 3/4 full before emptying. The "solids" dry out and harden.
