Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
What a wonderful few days! We went Tuesday to Knoxville in our big Ram dually to pick up our Big Horn RV. We spent two nights on the RVs for Less dealership site. Their people were great teaching us so much about our RV including how to hook up to our truck, maneuver, and unhook. We then went to a campground in Pigeon Forge, TN, courtesy of RVs for less. Kev did a great job backing into our site. We were there for two overnights and left this morning. We spent a lot of time yesterday trying to figure out why our icemaker wasn't working. Thanks to Johnny from RVs for Less, we figured it out and got it going. We also made checklists for setting up and breaking down so we wouldn't forget anything. We've already made some alterations to those lists.
We had no problems today with anything. We unhooked from the campsite, hooked up to the truck, towed home, parked the RV at the storage site, and unhooked the truck. I even drove for an hour or so. No problem!
But for the first time I can remember it wasn't good to get home. I really cannot wait until home is that beautiful RV.
Thanks! Wish we were able to get on the road for good now! But we have to wait for Kev to retire. That will be no later than March, 2013, but we're hoping for an early retirement before that. Still, that's not too far away. And in the meantime, we're planning a couple trips in the next few months.
