Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We just sent in our payment to join your group at Rally in Oregon in Sept. We've purchased a 2006 Winney 33 Vovage in January, bougth our Ford Fusion tow in February, Went on a golfing vacation with Friends in Utah in March. Put on House on the market end of April. Will close end of July. We will be moving to a RV Park here in Vancouver WA until January 2013, when Rich will retire and we hit the road.
We are sooooooo! looking forward to the rally. We also want to get an offical weight and tire information.
I've been checking out your web site since we first made the decision to go full time a year ago.
Congratulations. It is so exciting. We put our house on the market in May and will be closing the end of August. We still need to get a MH but have our eyes on one. Everything is happening at once. Are you feeling stressed at all? Am I the only one who can't wait.........it is like Christmas morning.
Yes, Stressed. Hoping it will get easier once the House closes. It was alot harder to get rid of the STUFF you keep forever that I though. We ended up renting a 5x5 climate contolled storage unit to store pictures and stuff in. Hoping to give me more time over the next 5 months to scan to computer. Then we are giving all the photo albums the genealogy research I have to the clhildren.
At the same time, we are sooooo looking forward to being on the road and seeing more of this county we live in.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums as active participants. As you will find out, there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that are happy to help with answers and options.
So, feel free to ask all the questions and make all the comments you feel important or informative as we all tend to learn from each other.
However, to now show the "smark-alecky" side if at least one of the forum particiipants, I'm now a little bit nervous with this thread. Both of the comments previous to mine show folks wearing suits and ties. I now officially feel out of place.
(Just kidding, Everyone.)

Congratulations!! So exciting that both of your houses have sold. We put ours on the market in eight weeks! We have already done the purging and giveaway thing - have very little left to go at this point. We are hoping for a quick sale also, when we will move to a campground until Harry can retire - 2/8/13!!
I love reading about people who are so close to their departure date. It brings back the stress......ummm............I mean excitement of when we started out. Congratulations and you are about to have a blast.
Hope we meet down the road one day.

Congratulations on the purchase. We'll see you at the fall rally in Harrisburg. We will be spending several months in Vancouver, WA as well this winter. We may cross paths in Vancouver as well as at the rally.
Congrats Rich and Verna! My house in Austin TX finally closed the end of July. We've been living in the camper since March though. Nice to have that part settled. Enjoy your new home and hope to see you on the road soon!

Love all the comments on here, both 'experienced' rv's and those who will be soon hitting the road. Welcome to the most friendly forum. You all be careful there in Vancouver, my son is a firefighter captain there. Rich & Verna, see you at the rally.
