Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi Newbie here! We've been living full time for 6 months now and have been making our motorhome more homey, more "us." We have a 1995 Winnebago Adventurer with the vinyl ceilings complete with the little rosettes that keep the vinyl in place. I absolutely detest out ceiling. It reminds me of a car's headliner. I have done hours of research on the net about ceiling alternatives and I think I might be going with polystyrene tiles. They look like the tin tiles and can be painted and they'll help with the Texas heat.
Has anyone used these tiles on their RV?

BAGO, welcome to RV Dreams, so far I guess no one has. That being said fastening is only real challenge, glue is the way that first comes to mind, another thing to consider would be ceiling lights or other vents/penetrations.....upper cabinets Etc..... It's doable, but plan well, if you post some photos of existing conditions and the tile you want to use, I may be able to offer more help....G
I replaced ours with half inch sheet rock. I understand it was a little heavy. But after a little finish work it look's great.
