Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

2nd weekend in the the new trailer!

I'm sitting in our new trailer with the sun streaming in the picture window, the light glistening off the water and I can't believe this will soon be my life!  The thought of traveling when we want to where we want is so exciting.  Even the the little things like coffee in the morning under the awning and looking at my DW and asking what do you feel like doing today!  We have only taken the first steps and I see this will be a fantastic journey.

One more year of working was in the plan but I might not make it!

Scott

Congratulations on the new coach.  Now quit making me jealous by talking about going when and where you want to go.  We may have up to 3 years before we really start traveling.

Enjoy the life and we are certainly pleased for you.

Terry

Congratulations! We, too, purchased a Class C last month. Since I still have a full-time job...it's been setting in our backyard. (pitty!!) I have about 3.5 years to go before becoming a full-timer. Lots of weekend trips...to learn things.

Ja, quit rubbing it in! Seriously, congratulations on a major step. We have three more years before I retire, and I suspect that in some ways they will be L-O-O-O-N-G years (looking for the coach, anticipating the change, etc.) and in some ways they will fly past (lots of stuff to get rid of). I'm tempted to just put in for retirement, have an auction, and go buy a coach. I know that isn't smart, but there are days....

Oh how I know those feelings!  Yes, there are days.

Looking at:

However, there is still time to change the configuration, just a plan.

Congrats Scott (and mrs Scott)

We are in the same boat (RV) as you, we may finally have found our dream rig, but we have to wait another year before we start our full time travels, in the meantime, our home will be on hubby's base in the famcamp, hopefuly a few roadtrips to break up the boredom, until we pay off the last of our debts:)
Good luck

Jay and Kim, having your full-time coach for a year before you head out actually isn't a bad idea. It lets you take care of those repairs and upgrades in a more orderly fashion since you can do some research before you commit to something. Using your coach will also let you know what you really need. We're planning to have our full-time coach a year before I retire, so sometime in the next year we'll actually start looking to buy. In the meantime we're asking lots of questions and having long discussions at home.

We're waiting for DW to retire in 17 months, (who's counting) then we're gone. We decided not to buy until 6 months before DW retires, think DW was afraid I'd just tell her to come find me when she's done working. For now, I have to be content living vicariously thru others on the forums.

Seems like there's more DW's still working than DH's.  Me, included!  Something's wrong with this picture!!!

Who's counting?  ME!  I've got 57 weeks, 1 day, 8 hours, 55 minutes, and 30 seconds!  Now, top that! confuse
