Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We made the drive to Oregon Thursday night to pick up our new DRV Tradition. Everything went very well. Thumper made his first trip pulling a 5W home today. It's a 5 hour drive. He did really well backing it into our driveway parking strip. I was quite impressed. All in all, I think it went well. We slept in it last night and learned a lot. We started figuring out what we need and what we don't. Turns out one of the first things we needed was a compact step stool. Thumper and both vertically challenged and can't reach the bathroom fan vent without climbing. Who knew? We're exhausted and excited all at once.
Nite all!
Rosie

One can also change out the bathroom fan with one that is remote controlled. Both Shur-Flo and Fantastic Fan make that kind.
Also, just as a suggestion, run the large bathroom fan when taking a shower. That lets it exhaust all the moisture in the air and helps prevent mirror fog. If the Tradition also has that small circular vent in the ceiling with the switch at the wall, we never use the one in ours. Those don't really vent to the outside, but just into the roof cavity.
Enjoy your new coach and truck. Better yet, enjoy the RV'ing lifestyle.

they also make a simple extension piece to make it easier to open the vent in the bathroom. Not that you won't need a step ladder, but at least you won't have to drag it to the bathroom all the time.
Enjoy your new Ford, we love ours, and enjoy our Mobile Suite as well!

Would you be willing to share what dealer you used, and what you thought of them. We're close to Oregon, so might be going there to buy ours when the time comes.

Don't mind at all. We purchased from Guaranty RV near Eugene, Oregon. We were very pleased with the service and the friendliness of everyone we worked with. Our salesperson was Clay and they were great. Worked with on a deal we could feel good about and added several additions for us.
Congrats on the new 5er, small step stool would probably be my 1st purchase to. Would you be willing to share what dealer you used, and what you thought of them. We're close to Oregon, so might be going there to buy ours when the time comes.
Thanks John

Congratulations on the new rig!! You might also want to check out the SOITC, Suite Owners Travel Club. It is for all DRV owners and has a very informative Forum as well as a fun bunch of members. Next years rally is in Indiana, just down the rad from the factory where all DRV's are produced.
