Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
When we started our full-timing adventure 4 ½ years ago, we said that when one of us couldn’t drive then it would be time to come off the road.Sadly, that time has come and we now find ourselves closing the door to this wonderful chapter in our lives earlier than we imagined.
Our 2008 Excel 36BDE Limited by Peterson Industries is a fully loaded 4 season fifth wheel with rear kitchen and five slides. In addition to the normal standard options offered with the Limited line, we added Brazilian Cherry Maple interior, a door over the TV cabinet in bedroom, king slide in bedroom with queen bed, padded ceiling, Thermo-Pane Windows, hydroflame 2 stage furnace, Whirlpool Front Load Washer/Compact Dryer, second ducted air-conditioner, second Fantastic Vent with rain sensor, whole house water filter, Pivot-EZ sewer hose compartment, 5500W LP Onan Generator , Mor-Ryde IS Suspension with disc brakes, dual sliding LP trays, independent hydraulic leveling system (front & rear), electric WeatherPro Awning, Glide Ride Pin Box, four6v golf cart batteries, Xantrex 3000 Watt Inverter, hard wired Progressive Surge Protector (EMS HW50C), rear scissor jacks, 17.5” wheels with Load Range J Michelin tires and more.
The exterior has been maintained beautifully (we are often asked if the rig is new) and the interior is very good condition. When we ordered our rig, we deleted all of the RV furniture and so we have a Lazy Boy leather loveseat, two Lazy Boy leather recliners, and a Sleep Number Bed that is included.NADA shows the value between 59,900 and 70,000.We are asking $55,000 REDUCED to $45,000.
If you are interested in seeing our build sheet, pictures of the fifth wheel can be found here (enter fulltimer) or have any questions, please PM us and we will promptly respond. We are located in Sacramento, CA so if you are in or near the area and would like to inspect the trailer, we would welcome the inquiry.
Edited by OP to remove the listing for the F-450 truck, add a link to pictures of the Excel fifth wheel, and corrections to photo link.

Just read your blog.......wow what an experience! You guys are truly blessed to have made it through that ordeal. I trust John is doing OK at the moment.
Good luck on the sale of your rig.......sounds like a great deal.
Thank you for your comments. After a lot of tests, there is nothing to be found to explain the seizure. John feels fine and is very much himself. Was it a random occurence or could it happen again? Time will tell and we don't want to gamble with our lives or anybody elses so it's time to stop traveling.
We are hoping that someone looking for a quality 5th wheel will see the value that is being offered and get this rig back out on the road where it belongs.
We would really like to see the rig in the hands of a future full-timer who can enjoy the lifestyle with all the creature comforts; therefore, we have lowered the price to $45,000 in hopes of getting some interest in this beautiful rig.
