Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Replacing Kitchen Faucet

I have a Pheonix faucet in now, the white one with the sprayer head.  Our last trip out it broke where the black plastic extends up in the sprayer head.  I can still use the faucet but I have to pull it out and lay the broke end in the sink so it won't spray everywhere.  I went to the local RV dealer and they couldn't order me just another sprayer head attachment (like you can get for a shower...hmmm)  but a new faucet to replace what I had is $170.

Since my faucet in the single lever kind, the hoses all come up through one hole.  I like this style and was wanting to keep it.  Wander if anyone could suggest another brand that would be similar and simple to install (no drilling holes).  Maybe one at Lowe's?  Thanks for any suggestions you could give.

Since your faucet hardware comes through one hole it should be easy to replace it with one from Lowes or Home Depot. I would measure the diameter of the hole in the counter to ensure you get one that will fit.

Yeah that's what I was thinking because if I'm going to pay that kinda money for a replacement I might as well get something nicer from the home improvement stores. I just wish I knew if there was a replacement head I could get to fit my current faucet. There's nothing wrong with the rest of the faucet, no leaks or anything. It would be cheaper than buying a whole new one. Anybody know of a replacement head that would fit mine?

Get a replacement from a Home Center like Lowes. You'll have plenty to choose from and I bet the price will be a lot less. We replaced our kitchen, bathroom faucets and shower head with purchases from Home Depot.

You may have to get some parts to connect the new faucet to your plumbing. Sometimes residential plumbing has different connections than RV plumbing. It can be done just be sure you check out all the fittings.

You could try searching online for the part you need - you may find it significantly cheaper than going through a local dealer.

Otherwise - recommend taking a look what is your local home center. We replaced all our faucets in our bus with house stuff. It's nice and modern looking now... more home-like and less RV-like.

We have decided after discussing the ideas mentioned by you guys to just go ahead and replace all the faucets with home quality. We think it will add to the functionability and the look of our camper. Thank you for your suggestions!
