Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
The area around Rayne has RV parks, but according to RVParkreviews Rayne does not. Go to http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Louisiana/ and start looking and reading. Some reviews for the area are rather dated, but some are recent. If given a choice, I would probably go to Lafayette.
We are in Broussard La. (few miles from Rayne) as I write this. We are at a Passport America Park named Maxie's RV Park. Not the greatest park in the world, but not terrible either. Owner was nice enough to honor the PPA discount even though it states not available during Mardi Gras. We did not see a lot of nicer parks around this immediate area when we were arriving (yesterday).
This park is 30/50 amp w/ water and sewer. There is no cable and WIFI is available ($). The laundry room looks OK but have not used it. The real downside is the sites sit right on top of US 90 and the traffic noise is pretty loud 16 hours a day. I slept w/ ear plugs in last night and was not disturbed but the traffic is pretty constant from about 7am - 11pm. The plus is we are only paying $15/ngt for 50 amp full h/u and it's close to some of things we want to see and do.

Just want to second the good marks for Frog City. Easy on/off,fuel,store & (very) small casino together with resturant/motel,all in one place. Very nice managers & staff. Had planned just overnight, stayed three days.

Came across this one today Cypress Bayou Casino RV Park when we were driving around. The park is at the far end of their parking lot so no shade but the sites are well defined with full hook ups and a picnic table at each site. Several large motor homes and 5th wheels parked there so larger rigs are not a problem.
This is about 30 miles south of Lafayette just off US 90 so not sure if it's close enough to Rayne for you or not.
