Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Mom is looking for a source to have custom curtains made for the front windshield & cab of her 26' DynaQuest. That is the "Super-C" RV built on a Freightliner chassis. Freightliner doesn't carry them, and the converter doesn't have any suggestions either. Regular Class A curtains aren't the right size.
So far, we haven't been able to locate any person, place or website to provide a solution. She is in Alabama now and will probably be attending the SKP Rally in NC in April, before heading to Montana for the summer.
Does anyione have any suggestions? Any tips (other than DIY) for someone who does custom upholstery targeted to RV customers would be GREATLY appreciated.
Check into any local boatyards you see on the road. Most have a seamstress that does their canvas work. Since so many boats are different shapes styles, patterns are easy to make and use. RV's aren't any different.
In Eastern NC we use Kents kanvas- 1-252-531-0326 He is located in the Greenville NC area.
I called Mom immediately to giver her your suggestion and she thunked her forehead and said" But, of course! Why didn't I think of that ?!!"
She is at the SKP park in Alabama and goes down to the marina every other day, so will go check out their contacts. If she doesn't locate anything in AL, she will make contact with your company in NC when she gets over there.
We used to be boaters before we were RVers and it makes perfect sense to locate someone who can sew custom boat curtains to see if they would be willing to design some for her DynaQuest.
