Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello all- again

I had posted here some time back when we were in the process of going full time and we have now been "on the road" for almost 6 months. We sold all of our furniture and gave the kids what they wanted and packed up ourselves, our clothing and supplies needed and here we are with our two dogs.

Dave and I are both (almost) 53 and we have wanted to do this for a few years now. We are from Virginia (he was actually born and raised in Delaware but has been in Va for 10 years now) and have so far been to Texas, back to Delaware and then back into Virginia to stop and see the kids and grand kids. We are currently back in Texas and, hopefully, headed up into New Mexico soon. I am searching the RV jobs list for some work as we exist on my retirement/disability and what Dave can pick up working.

Just wanted to "check back in" and I will be here more often now that I have a Laptop PC and USB internet. Looking forward to meeting new friends who have the same interests.

Welcome back. Congratulatons on the downsizing. We just did the same down size technique.
We found our workamp jobs at http://www.workamper.com/. I have subscribed to their job email. This give me daily emails of job possibilities across the US.

Good luck on your adventure.

Welcome to the road, Sheri & Dave!

We just did a blog post with over 60 ideas for mobile income sources for us travelers. Perhaps it may help seed some ideas on things you can do on the road:

Best wishes.. and enjoy!

Welcome Sheri and Dave to full timing. We have been full timing for a year now and loving every minute of it. Just wanted to tell you about where we go every summer for the last 5 years. We volunteer at the YMCA of the Rockies at Snow Mountain Ranch. We work 28 hours a week each and they give us a FH site and 3 meals a day 7 days a week. You can volunteer as long as you want to, we usally volunteer at least 6 weeks. Its more like playing then working because there is so many of us RVers. We have a blast. I work in the gift shop and Mel works in maintenance. There is alot of different jobs so you can just pick what ever. Look it up
www.ymcarockies.org and go under Snow Mountain Ranch. I think you will find it very interesting. Anyone else interested, check it out.

Good Luck,
Mel and Gail
