Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

30 Days of Fulltiming

We have just completed our first 30 Days of Fulltiming and "Livin the Dream"

We are staying near our daughters house for Christmas then heading to the Sarasota FL area in January for about a month then to Montgomery Texas for month.

So far everything has been great and no problems with the change from our S&B to our 5th Wheel. We did have a water heater problem that turned out to be a thermostat that the dealer took care of.

The biggest pain has been getting address changes on documents / mail  and the P.O. Box setup. (Had P.O. Box for 2 months now, for the 1st 6 weeks the Post Office was returning our mail as incorrect address)

Now we are just waiting of Santa to stop by!!!!

Yeah that address changing is a pain, but worth it in the end. I'm kind of jealous. We would love to spend the winter in Florida, but it doesn't look like we will be able to for a few more years. Oh well. We're enjoying south Texas for now.

Have fun!!

Doris

We spend our winters in Florida, last winter we used the PO box and it was a disaster. USPS returned many important documents, and really caused us issues. For example we have no PMI on our stick house, and pay our taxes and Ins each year, and don't use a escrow.. Our mortgage changed 30 days after we closed on the loan. However the mortgage finally started a escrow for Ins on our house thinking we had no Ins, wrong we have had Ins for almost a year pain in full. But they finally e-mailed (mortgage company) us and let of know about the escrow account being set up?????? Our Ins is with USAA, they handle the issue that was caused by USPS.... Never have a PO Box. We now have someone send our snail mail every two weeks. If we go back to full timing we will get a mail forwarding company.......

Congratz on your first month full timing.... its a different life..... Only those who are full timing know..........
