Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

NEW TO RVing

We just bought our first RV 3 weeks ago so far traveled from Ft Myers Fl to Atlanta and then to Dallas we leave tomorrow for Chattanooga.  Its great but so far we have not met anyone so we really don't know what we are doing.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  We have a class A 2000 Georgie boy 36 feet long it has a Cummins turbo diesel on a freightliner chassie.   We are full time cruisers and planning on going to Florida the middle of Oct

We look forward meeting people on our new adventure

Ken and Diane Farthing

P S we also travel with our Great Dane dog Bob

Hi and welcome to the forum. We are new to RVing also. The first time out we headed to Florida for the winter last year. We live in S. Illinois. We also travel with 2 dogs and 1 cat.
It was like the 3 stooges when we first set up. If it were not for my sis-in-law we would never have been able to get our awning out.

It was so much fun. I hope you have a wonderful time. I know we did.

Hi, Bigdog :)
We bought our new 5th Wheel last year and took off without knowing much of anything. Went to visit kids in Kentucky and both hit our heads on the slides, ending up in the local ER with the same Dr. on two separate visits! Charlie had to have a CAT
scan and I had to have a staple put in!! My daughter said in a text, "Mom, those people are going to think y'all are smacking eachother!" What a hoot! We are learning as we go. Hope you have as much fun as we do. Pat K

This is also our first forum. We are probably not doing it right. My wife after reading your post told me to put a red flag on our sliders lol
We are heading out of Texas today and going up the Natchez Trace at Jackson

Thanks all for the welcome
Ken

Put some swim noodles on those slides!  Just slice them part way through so they can be slid onto the bottom of the slide and protect you from those sharp corners.  Just don't forget to remove them before retracting the slide.
