Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Sounds as though you are well prepared for what-ever happens. We're hoping for the best for all on the East coast.

Duck and cover folks!!!! This is not a storm where you should hang out and hope for the best. Spur the economy a bit and drive inland and get a hotel room for a night or 2 (RV's go WEST!). You might not only save your behind but you might get a little spark for your love life.

All is quiet now here in south jersey.  Tomorrow will be a different story as we now have tornado warnings along with our visit from Irene.  The calm before the storm....

Well around 12:30am we decided to pack up and get out. We live about 20min outside Atlantic City. By 2 am we had the truck and 5th wheel ready to go. drove for about 2 1/2hrs and stayed at a Wallmart parking lot for a few hrs. Now we are in a campground in Lancaster PA. Going to get some rain and wind but nothing like we would have at home. We didnt want to take any chances with the trailer. We need to protect our home. Be safe everyone.

We are in southern NJ and it has just started to rain.  We got a call from Atlantic City Electric yesterday saying that we should prepare to be without power for a couple days.  We will see what happens!

It's so easy to hook up and get out of the track of the storm. I think you made a good choice Walt. I can't imagine sitting through 18+ hours of storm, worrying the whole time. Better to get out of town, relax, and wait for the storm to pass.

I'll agree with being safe at almost any cost.

Also, if there is any leftover rain you could send to Oklahoma, we SURE would appreciate all we can get.

I think we made a good choice by hooking up and getting out of town. We feel much safer being here. Pluss we brought along my step daughter and we are spending some time with her before she starts college.
Terry I wish we could send you some rain. this has been a very wet year for us.
