Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Settlement is on the 29th!

We got a contract on the house 10 days after it was on the market, lucked out! Have been afraid to say it (write it) out loud, might jinx the deal. Think we are close enough now to start grinning!

Looking at January to head out, to be officially ON THE ROAD, Bunk has to finish up a job, we have to get his Mom into a nursing home and I still have more STUFF to get rid of. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

At least there is time to get everything in order, all of the posts on the forum are really helping now. So many questions that you all have answers for. Thank you all for being here!

Trying to get a blog started so the kids and grandkids can keep an eye on us. Making the phone calls to everyone about insurance, health care, vet papers, learning how to move on with a dog (don't tell him I called him a dog) and 2 cats.

We have 3 vehicles to sell, and one to buy that can be towed behind the bus. That thing is 40 ft long and I don't want to trailer it, would prefer a toad. I will be crying saying goodbye to my Miata and Bunk is in tears about saying goodbye to his Veracruz. But we will have one vehicle that gets great gas mileage and one that gets really bad gas mileage. Not a bad exchange!

Really looking forward to the rally and will be keeping an eye on all posts about how to do what ever needs to be done!

LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!!!!

Congrats and enjoy the ride. We are currently prepping our house for this crazy market. Let us know when the deal closes. I'm ready to do a happy dance for you.

Start the Happy Dance!

The hurrican kept our settlement date from happening until a day later, BUT we are done. House was on the market for 7 days before selling closed in 30 days, can not complain about that.

Now to get Mom settled somewhere and as soon as Bunks job finishes up we are gone!

You all are going to see some happy people at the rallybiggrinbiggrin

Now if you gentlemen forum members will help make my DH comfortable with the whole idea I would appreciate it.wink

He may have withdrawal symptoms for a while.

The first weekend he doesn't have to spend mowing a lawn, trimming shrubs, weeding flowerbeds or painting trim he will lose all the withdrawal symptoms.  He can wash the rig in a couple of hours if he really wants something to do.  Tell him to get in the recliner, get a cold adult beverage and if the mood strikes, take a nap.

How awesome, yes, hubby (Defiant) & I wish you all the best!
You have a beautiful rig - do you have plans to get another or will you stay with what you have?

Thank you!

Just bought the bus in May for this purpose. Spent about 2 years looking for the right one. When I found it, couldn't get hold of my DH so I bought it without him. I was going to surprise him with it when he came home from work but couldn't get it down the driveway. Had 4 acres of land and the thing wouldn't fit. Blew that surprise!
