Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Wherever you may be, in an RV or a stix-n-brix, I wish you a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

It's amazing that we will be coming up on our first anniversary of full-timing in our 5er in about a month.  I sometimes wonder if we would have pursued this lifestyle without this Web site and all you wonderful folks.  (Okay, let me rephrase that, "I wonder if I would have been able to persuade the hubby to pursue this lifestyle without this Web site!)  biggrin

The past year sure has been a wild "ride," but one I would not have missed!

We are settled in New Jersey for a prolonged period working as a security team.  This area of the state makes you understand why NJ is nicknamed The Garden State, as it is absolutely enchanting.  Having never been here prior to starting our assignment in February, we were both pleasantly surprised with our area.  New Jersey - who would've thought?  confuse

For those of you just beginning to dream the dream, are researching it or preparing to embark on this life, it certainly is not an escape from "the real world," but it is an awesome way to live!

Tailwinds and safe passage,

Betty

I agree, Betty - this forum is THE place for advice, encouragement, knowledge . . . and, of course, fun!

In this forum, there are some who are tire kickers - just checking it out, seeing what it's all about . . . there are some who are newbies - filled with excitement and fears. . . and then there are those who have paved the way and stand ready to pull you along and show you the ropes.  It's a perfect blend of RV dreamers and doers!

Congratulations on the first year!  I haven't been to NJ . . . but we'll be there in a few months to spend a weekend with the mastermind group that has transformed us from dreamers to doers!  Can't wait!
