Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are getting much closer to living our dream. Truck got serviced today and 4 new tires on back. Hitch gets installed on Tuesday. Wednesday DW and I take a trip to Oklahome to pick up our new home.
Sweet. Our maiden voyage will be bringing our new home back to Corpus Christi.
Isn't if funny how one gets so giddy just before the beginning of a new dream coming true? Jo and I have been married for about 42 1/2 years and we've experienced many of them.
Because it promises such great opportunities, our dream home sits in our back yard. For now. Once our retirement comes around, we will be blessed with the beauty that this country offers, the camaraderie of fellow travelers, and the blessings provided by God to our senses.
May it be that your lives and future are full of beauty and blessings.
Terry

Hope the weather is in your favor. We hear that May is normally the peak of tornado season.
Safe Travels!!

Good call Melanie. I have had such a peace about this deal. Cedar Creek is the 1st fifth wheel we looked at several years ago. Between that unit and a Montana, we just could not make a decision. The day before we were leaving for Houston to look at a Montana, it was under contract. The Cedar Creek is 2 years newer and in my opinion, a better deal. Finally got my truck on Friday and it keeps telling me, "Load me up."
Looking forward to meeting our RV-Dreams family on the road soon.

I'm so happy for you both. We too recently bought our new home, and know the peace in having decided on waht you want. Now,If we can get our house sold, we'll be joining you and all the others. The photos are just lovely. Looks and feels like a comfortable home. Travel safe.

Carol/Johnny Maiden voyage is our trip from OK to Corpus Christi. Not really an outing of any kind but with 603 miles to travel, we will be stopping at least once or maybe twice. My DW just made reservations at Goliad State Park for Memorial weekend. That will be our first weekend out. Our full time travels will begin in the spring of 2012 as we head towards Tennessee.
We are looking forward to meeting our new extended family. After spending what seems like a long time praying, planning, and intense discussing our dream is about to become reality. The support and encouragement we have experienced through RV-Dreams Forum have carried us to this point. Words cannot express how grateful we are for Howard and Linda for hosting this site. They may never fully know the number of people they have touched.
Thank you all.

We made the trip to Elk City, OK. Alicia and Rolling Retreats are the real deal. Our new home is more than we expected. We are blessed beyond measure. Thursday we begin our maiden journey back to Corpus Christi.

Congratulations on the new home. And, I agree with Alicia and Slade being the real deal. We met them a couple of years ago and were impressed with them. I've certainly felt comfortable with recommending that folks check them out.
Did you check out that 40 foot Mobile Suites while you were there? That would be a nice unit for families wanting a second bedroom.
Safe travels and may God continue to bless you. I don't know how familiar you are with rigs the size of the Dodge and Cedar Creek, but just take things easy and be observant. You should really do fine.

I looked at that one myself. We really liked the floor plan on the Cedar Creek. If it looked like my house might sell soon I would have looked a little closer. Enjoy your new home and one of these days we will see you on the road.
