Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Still just a snowbirding part-timer right now, but I like to explore the country looking for interesting places to photograph, and my dog Millie is determined to swim at every dog beach she can find!
This past winter was my first season as a snowbird and I'm HOOKED! I spent this past winter in Florida and the Southwest, and I'm still trying to get the blog updated with all the photos I came back with, but I can't wait to go again!
I suppose I should now update this thread! I retired early one year ago, spent last winter down in Mexico, returned to the U.S. to get rid of all my stuff and rent out my house, and as of August, am now officially a full-time RVer!
It was a lot of work to make the transition, and much more emotionally draining than I ever anticipated as well, but so far it has all been worth it. The freedom to chart out my own course, stay somewhere as long or as short as I feel, meet lots of new people as often as I wish, and most importantly to finally feel connected and living "right-sized" with nature is everything I hoped it would be and more!
Lynne, I check your blog every day. When you did the A-Z last winter you posted almost every day and I loved it. Thanks for all the good stories and pictures.
