Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from NE Ohio

Hi everyone,

We are new to this forum and have been RVing for 7 years. We signed up for the spring rally back in November and somehow misseddisbelief this forum until today. We are currently Wannabe/Gonnabe's and look forward to all that experianced fulltimers have to share here and at the rally, not to mention looking forward to meeting some great people.

We are still working age but are forunate that DH currently works from home and therefore home can be anywherebiggrin, hence the fulltiming concept.

Now, anyone want to buy a house in NE Ohio? clap.gif (Probably the wrong group to ask) LOL

That's our story and I'm sticking with it! Have a fabulous day!

Welcome to the forum! biggrin

Glad you found this site with the friendliest bunch of RVers on the Internet.  If you have questions that you can't find the answers to, be sure to ask. There's sure to be someone here who can help.

Sorry, but you're probably right, not many house buyers here. smile

Hi DAR,

Welcome.  Nope, don't need a house thank you!  <grin>  The housing market was picking up a little for a little while.  Maybe you can still catch it.

I won't of much help with advice unless you need a bad example!

I'm currently in Crystal Springs campground in beautiful North Ritchfield, OH.  A bit noisy perhaps, the turnpike is on one side, but far better than the condo!

Hi Dar!

Welcome. Wish we could make the rally, but the nasty thing -- W@%K -- is getting in the way! Have fun and I'm sure we will meet up down the road.

Hi Everyone:
We will be attending the Fall Rally and were really looking forward to it.

We have been on the road for sometime but not as fulltimers; we call ourselves part-timers. We cannot be full-timers because we live in Canada. Our province has rules about how long you can and cannot be out of Province in order to continue with your health coverage and receive your pensions. So for 6 months we travel and 6 months we stay put. It works for us, we are not complaining except for the fact that sometimes it feels like a tethering rope is tied to us. That feeling isn't too comfortable; so we try to enjoy the planning of our adventures and living them when we can.

We are presently very busy with downsizing and getting ready to sell our home and move into a 2 bedroom apartment. We also would like to upgrade our 5th wheel to something a bit more suitable to our unstable weather. We will also have more money by downsizing our expenses with the house. Having a home is much more expensive than living in an apartment . More money to travel with.

Looking forward to meeting all of you at the Rally.

Its about time
