Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
It seems like there was a time when you did an expose'(I know that's not the proper puntuation) on credit reports but can't find it. Probably many years ago !! I do know that not all "free" credit reports are really free so don't want to open myself to something I don't want. What's the best "free" credit report? Thank you, Brenda

If you go to www.annualcreditreport.com, that is the official site that links to the three credit reporting bureaus (equifax, transunion and experian). From there you can choose whether you want to get your credit report from one bureau, or from all three. There is no charge for your credit report, but if you want to get your credit score, they do charge for that. Also if you go to the credit bureau's website, there are products you can buy (of course!) - credit watch programs etc.
Here is an excerpt from a Journal entry I did on the subject:
Credit Reports
As I do every four months, I got our free credit reports from one of the three credit reporting services just to make sure there hasn't been any identity theft or bogus credit applications. I've been over this many times, but what the heck. :)
AnnualCreditReport.com is the "official" website where you can get free credit reports. You are entitled to one free credit report each year from each of the credit agencies - TransUnion, Equifax, & Experian.
In order to check the reports more frequently, we stagger our requests and order reports from different agencies every four months. That way, we can identify any funny business faster as credit applications and inquiries will usually (but not always) appear on all three reports.
What Howard said... just be careful what you click on when you go to a site from annualcreditreport.com... they throw up a lot stuff that will cost you money if you aren't careful... all you want is the free credit report, and I do it every 4 months in alphabetical order by name just to make sure I don't wind up having to pay anybody anything.
