Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Dream tripping from Michigan

We are Rick and Phyllis and we live in the currently frozen state of Michigan.
We have a fridge magnet of a 1950's sort of blonde which quotes her as saying "Frugal is such an ugly word." Well so is "Lurker", so...SuperLurker no more.  We are, as I said in my Bio, relative light weights when it comes to RVing. It is pretty much a vacation or weekend thing for us. but will be doing much more when I reitre in few years.

I have been doing a lot of trip planning/fantasizing to at least get my head out of here and overcome the S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Anything sounds more legitimate with enough syllables in the name. AKA blahs.

Always like to discuss anything related to motorcycles and trip planning. Bike hauling and great places to go.  We like to get there in some comfort and ride a lot when we get there. Looking forward to Florida at the end of Feb and into March. Been loving Howard and Linda's accounts of their adventures north of Tampa. Been bookmarking some sites for possible day trips and adventures. Thanks so much.

Also looking forward to learning more about all things RV. Some things I have observed in general about the people on this community: They seem mostly very happy. Have been with their partners for a long time or are at least making some long term plans. Very willing to share the knowledge. Know how to stay on topic and don't let personal ideals (politics, religion, etc.) get in the way of a good time.

Currently we have a 2011 VRV by Livinlite (18' LOA) and an '09 Dodge Magnum 1500. Hauling an'01 Sportster and an 07 Heritage Softail. The camping trailer has a fold out bed, couch, toilet/shower, sink, etc.

Have a good trip wherever you go. Find your  dream.

Welcome from part of the frozen South! smile

This is indeed a very friendly, helpful community. Someone always has the answer when a question is asked. Feel free to jump right in!

Welcome, Rick and Phyl. smile

As you've observed, there's a really friendly bunch of folks here. No one worries about spelling or other mistakes that we all make and everyone is more than willing to share their experiences about RVing.

Also, there are no "dumb questions" on this forum, so if you have questions, be sure to ask and the folks here will do their best to help answer them for you.

Maybe you'll meet some of RV Dreams family down here in Florida when you come down in Feb.

Safe travels,

Jim

Rick and Phyl,

First of all, let me express my gratitude to you for serving in both the fire and police fields of public service.  Without individuals like you, many of us would have much more difficult lives.

We welcome you to the forums as an "active" member and we look forward to comments and questions that you may have.  We all learn from each other, and many a time, we get a new perspective on the various subjects.

So, feel free to participate.

Terry

I just LOVE your signature!

I'm also an ex-Michiganian and will never go back there again unless someone gives me a million dollars! Even then I'd have to think about it. Michigan in Summer is great! Michigan in the cold seasons is ... miserable!

Did I mention that I LOVE your signature?  :)

Paul
