Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

If you have/had a choice?

If you have/had a choice between a Tiffin Allergo 34' dp or a Newmar 35' dp price is no object, and layout is similar. Which for the soundness/construction/warranty would you pick?
We are torn between the 2 manufactures? Please tell us which you would pick and why?

Both are good manufacturers and build good motorhomes. I don't think you can go wrong with either if other items are equal.

Like Donna said you can't go wrong with either.Go spend a couple hours in each and do things you would do if you lived in it.One or the other will give you that "IT" feeling.

From what little research I've done on motorhomes, I would say that you would be good with either one.  I'd suspect that amenities available on each model related to your future plans, whether that be full-time or part-time, would be the most important to you.

Jo and I both drove two different Tiffin Phaetons and were impressed with both.  But, we also like the looks of the Newmars as well.  Having said that, we were looking at the 40' and 42' models, being that we will be full-timers eventually.

Which ever you choose, good luck and may all your travels be trouble free.

Terry

Thank you all for your input. We are in a Tiffin, and probally going to stay in a Tiffin. But I would like to point out the main reason. The roof. Newmar's are not the solid roof and Tiffin's are.
Other than the roof issue, we love the Newmar's layout a bit better, and am hoping Tiffin will be helpful in making a couple of changes in their layout to accomadate us better.
Happy Camping to all :)

I would agree that both makes are very good.  However, from what I have read and learned from owners is that Tiffin stands behind their product like no other RV manufacturer.  Bob Tiffin, the founder, has a very much admired reputation in the RV industry.  If I was making a similar decision there's no question that I would choose a Tiffin made motorhome!
