Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope by this time next year we're in a warmer climate instead of the cold and sleet that we are now experiencing now. We do have so much to be thankful for. Everyone enjoy the day.

Happy Thanksgiving from Pat and Charlie(San Antonio) from Laredo, Tx, where we are enjoying the holiday with family just a short distance from the border. We have much to be thankful for, not the least of which is our freedom. Thanks to our service members and veterans for their service.

Dan,

Thanks for reminding us that we are all still a family.  Listening to Glenn Beck a few years ago, he told the story of his "special needs" daughter referring to "Family of the Heart".  He asked her why that term.  Her reply was that we have family by blood lines but she was referring to all those whom she had come to love who were not blood relatives when she spoke of "Family of the Heart".

So, from Jo and I to our "Family of the Heart", many of you who are traveling from "home" or wishing to travel, may God's blessings still continue to flow over you.

We are still in Oklahoma City, of course, but our week has been involved with helping Jo's sister and her husband look at RV's with them possibly purchasing something for themselves.  So, perhaps we are helping yet another RV Dreamer within our own family.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay loving.

Terry

Had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. Had an opportunity to host two fine young men from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. They called it Operation Home Cooking. We drew two trainees. These young men re-established our faith in the young people of the USA. Very well mannered, respectful, courteous and clean cut (and HUNGRY). Makes ya proud!!!

One was from Baton Rouge, the other from Fayetteville.

I had no idea it was such a big deal. Musta been a gazillion locals there picking up trainees. The trainees were not allowed smoking, drinking or being out of uniform. No grass cutting, no car washing (laughingly presented by a Sargeant in charge). The base Commander shook the hand of every young person as they left the base.

I can highly recommend this to anyone that lives near a training base, I bet it is available.

Way to go, that is the true meaning of Thanksgiving. I know those young men were very glad to have a great family to spend the day with, plus some great food.
