Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi! My husband and I are recent retirees, and are currently snowbirding in Osoyoos BC. If everything goes well this winter, we will be going home to Alberta to sell our house and go full-time. So far everything is great. Got a bit cold the last couple days, but the fifth-wheel has been nice and snug. No problems with anything freezing. Love hearing everyone else's stories, and looking forward to getting to know you all.

Please allow me to welcome our newest "international" member of the RV Dreams forum. If you have been lurking for a while before registering and introducing yourselves, then you know this to be a welcome haven for dreamers and planners.
Feel free to ask questions or make comments. Even oft repeated questions can sometimes give us a different perspective, and most of us welcome all questions.
However, now someone has come along an confused me. It has long been a belief of mine that "Snowbirds" go to the southern United States for the winter. But, then being from Canada, I guess we will just have to refer to the two of you as "Extreme Snowbirds" in that your plans DON'T include Florida, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, or Arizona.
Down here, we have the philosophy that if it gets cold, we set our thermostats to a desired temperature and then drive south until the heaters stay off for at least 24 hours.
Oh, by the way, you might get a little kidding here on occasion.

If you get down here to the "states" sometime, look up some of us RV-Dreamers. We're a friendly bunch and would love to meet you.
Good luck with your plans.

Strangely enouogh, yesterday in Boerne, TX I followed an extreme snowbird from Alberta. Commented to DW that he is avoiding the inclement weather up north now.
