Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We apparently all share the same "gut" around here!
Again, my "little voice" tells me to pack up and haul you-know-what up the road to Goshen and the factory.
If I were on my own, I would have started packing yesterday and be ready to roll this morning.
However, this is a team decision.
Additionally, as I do the towing and much of the decision-making comes to me as the veteran RVer in our little family, I feel a responsbility for the safety of not only myself but Dave, Maggie and our home containing everything we have in the world.
Thanks to whoever reminded me of MN. It helped me to remember that, although there may be four feet of snow on the ground, we never had a problem with major highways. I think we'd be good in that regard . . . but I will not tow this beast if it is actively snowing, sleeting, etc.
Doesn't help that we are both Libras!
I have emailed a link to my Factory vs Dealer thread to Dave with all your responses.
I'll call Keystone today with our decision and let you know where we will head.
Again, my heartfelt gratitude for the support, encouragement, prayers, butt-kicking, positive energy and your clear-sighted input. It is easy to become so bogged down in a situation to become fuddle-brained at times.
My warmest regards to all my RV-Dreams Family, Betty

Whatever your decision, may God be with you and shower you with blessings. This time of year, if you aren't going to be in high elevations, you may be safe enough.
Normally, I never check the weather because no matter what, I'll have to deal with whatever is there. (Learned that in the Oklahoma Panhandle, where there ain't NOTHING to stop the weather. You know that country is only separated from the North Pole by a barbed wire fence, and three strands of that is broke.)
Travel plans are the only thing that prompts me to keep an eye and ear on the weather. Be alert, be observant, and be safe.
Terry

Betty, with all of the issues that you have had, I would be heading to the factory ASAP no doubt. It is still early in the winter so weather should not be a factor, If they have a freak storm or something wait it out they know how to clear the roads quickly. I live in Ind. (as far south as you can get in Indiana) but itwas 80 degrees here yesterday. The longer you take to get there the chances get higher for bad weather. But really you should be fine. Get up there fast get done what needs to be done and get out of town back to where its warm, with peace of mind knowing your trailer was inspected and repaired by those who built it. (IMO)

We will all be waiting to hear the outcome of the factory repairs and the whole experience once you're fixed up and back on the road. Double for us as we are considering a Keystone Montana for our home on wheels.
