Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I am seeking council on the purchase of a tire pressure monitoring system. I understand that in one of the newer systems the consumer can change the batteries and not have to send the device back to the manufacturer.
We have a twin axle trailer, an EVERGREEN 31, the tow veh. is a Ford F 250.
Seeking suggestions on brand and fuctions that are desirable.

Charles, rubber valve stems are usually not a problem if they are in GOOD condition and NOT too long. We had rubber valve stems on our Honda CRV toad and never had a problem but we did replace them with metal valve stems when we replaced our tires. PressurePro highly recommends the use of metal valve stems on the larger, high pressure tires that are on trucks, 5th wheels and motorhomes.
We have bough two Pressure Pro Systems from Pat and Mike. Have never had a issue with the the PPS system. I did missplace one sensor, and one phone call and it was in the mail. I highly recomend Pat and Mike, very professional and HONEST. And the PPS system is made in AMERICA.

A couple months ago we purchsed the Tire Minder system. Took about 15 minute total to program the unit and install the sensors. One good thing about this brand is that when the sensor batteries need to be replaced you can do it yourself and not have to return the whole sensor. You can get them from Camping Worls and here is the product web site. http://www.minderresearch.com/id71.html
We also use Pressure Pro that we purchased from Pat amd Mike McFall. We have been fulltiming for over 2 1/2 years. It has worked great for us and I would recomend strongly it. Pat and Mike have been very helpful and they are great people.
