Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Nope, we HAVE NOT had problems with our Mobile Suite and have to start looking again. Jo's sister and her husband are planning on coming to OKC from Kansas around Thanksgiving and they want to look into buying an RV.
They've put out "word of mouth" that their home on 5 or 6 acres is for sale. Apparently they are looking into a Class A that they can live in. (If you saw all the STUFF they have in their home, you'd probably break out into tears. Dang good STUFF! But, its still stuff.)
We have known for a couple of weeks that they wanted to do this, but I thought maybe they wanted a smaller unit, just for occasional travel. Apparently they are thinking 40 or 42 footers, which we just found out tonight.
So, now I get to start gathering information again on Class A's and see what is available where in the Oklahoma City area.
Wish me luck.
Terry

hope you all have better luck than I! We still can't decide between a used DP and a 5er. I hope this doesn't manifest itself into things like trying to choose a campground! lol
Don't worry Ken -- Campgrounds are a lot less stressful to decide on!
Larry, If your brother and sis-in-law are looking to buy a used coach they might want to check out http://luxurymotorhomesales.com/luxury-motorhomes-sales. They are online wholesaler of used motorhomes. Prices start in low $100s and go up from there. I spoke with Ken the other day and did some checking on their prices. Definitely in the wholesale range.
We're looking to switch to a motorhome within the year so we'll be interested in your research. From what I've seen you do a really thorough job! And don't worry, that's definitely a compliment!

Terry, Good luck on the research! My only advice would be to consider a local purchase. When it comes to a purchase of a future home and this much $$$ it is good to be able to see it, talk to someone that knows about it, and really nice to get some service if at all possible. We "camped" with full services in parking area of dealership for two weeks while they ironed out all the little problems.
Mike, of Mike and Pat and Pressure Pro, recently purchased a preowned beauty of a MH from a dealer in Nocodhoches, Tx by the name of Motor Homes of Texas. Mike bought a Foretravel and is extremely pleased with all aspects of the purchase. They did a lot of searching before settling on the Texas dealer and product.
I've also heard good things about Motorhomes of Texas. We definitely would love to purchase local. The issue is that there are a lot fewer dealers carrying motorhomes these days. The closest good selection to us is 250 miles away in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Terry, one thing that might be worth looking at is http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/classa/class-a-motorhomes.htm They have a big number of motorhomes from 1985 to 2010, priced anywhere you might imagine. If something can be found on the website, it could well be worth a plane ticket to go look. They do rate and show a lot of photos, with more available to an interested purchaser. When I looked at one time, the ratings they used seemed to be honest. Just another option.
BTW, if you needed an excuse to make a trip, you could always go down with your rig and camp at Tomball County Park. Administered by the county commissioner and best of all, it is free! about 8 sites, all on concrete, full hookups with 50 amp service. Only thing, you gotta make reservations, and can only stay for 2 weeks at a time. We are probably going down sometime in the winter for a couple of weeks (if we can get reservations) to go back to our home church located in the Champions Foret area.
If they would consider a 5'ver I've got our 05 Mobile Suites 36TK3 for sale, asking $39,000. It is in the RV-Dreams classifieds.
Stay Safe
John and Bridget,
The inlaws are mostly interested in a motorhome, but I'll let them know about your unit. However, I did send a link to your RV Dreams "Classified" thread to a couple here in Oklahoma that deal with used DRV's. Maybe they will be interested.
This process with my sister-in-law may be fun. She has been into music (and a public school teacher of music as well as private lessons) for all of her life. She insists that whatever they get HAS to be able to accomodate her electronic musical keyboard. (Anybody do custom modifications????)
