Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have already suggested the same to Howard on a previous PM and his reply was that he has considered doing a West Coast, perhaps in 2012.
With a continuos interest in a West Coast Rally, we hope that it will become a reality sooner than later. The West and Northwest are great jump off places for visitors to Alaska and/or Western Canada.
I expressed DW and my interest in the West Coast Rally, so put us down for VOTE number 4.

Count us in for WC rally too. We won't be able to make the one this year unfortunately, but hope to keep West for next few years so perhaps in 2012 for sure???

Glad to see all the interest in a west coast rally.
It's a long way off, but we would love to have a western Rally in 2012. It may not be exactly "west coast" but certainly pretty far west.
So, while this thread is going, keep throwing out suggested locations and preferred dates. All of that helps.
Also, one of the hardest things to do is to find a location that has space for about 60 rigs (preferably full hook-ups), cabins or hotels nearby, and an indoor facility that seats 100 - 120 people for seminars and group meals. So, if anyone knows of RV Parks/Campgrounds that meet those main criteria, we will be glad to check them out and see if they meet all the rest of our detailed preferences.
Thanks for the interest and we'll do our best to make it happen.
Well count us in also!! As far as populated areas the Oregon coast does win over Ca. as having less people to contend with. But we are open to anything.
I vote for Arizona- on school break schedule! (Ok I know that's asking a bit much!) But there are LOTS of options in Arizona- and it is generally cheaper that California!
Hi Howard, If considering a "Western", as opposed to a West Coast location,Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort has the facilities you mentioned, including large meeting rooms on site, and hotels nearby. I am very familiar with that place, since we go there often when we can't take the time to travel far. There have been several rallies in progress there during our various stays. I thought this might be worth looking into.Weather here in April-Mid May, is perfect. Not so much after that, till fall. It's snowing today, however.
Best, Richard

The Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, Ca. (Sanfrancisco bay area) has all the requirements that you mentioned with 80 plus spaces. The web site is; http://www.thefairparkrv.com/
Hope to meet everyone at a west coast rally in the near future.

Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, California, Arizona, even New Mexico, Colorado or Wyoming would be West and fine with us. (British Columbia and Alberta would also be fine for us but not everyone has the proper papers to enter Canada.)
Edit: How could I forget Utah? We were in Utah in April 2010 and had a great time at Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.

We would love a west coast rally . It would be great if it could be sometime between November and March so that those of us from Canada could attend too. Arizona would be great or Golden Village Palms in Hemet California is a place that would have all the facilities needed and Howard would love all the great and inexpensive golf courses there!

As mentioned above Plesanton CA would be a great location! If it was in spring the Canadians could come on their way home! With my luck, you will plan one there when we re heading EAST!
