Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
As I sit here in my S&B I have to listen to the barking dog behind me. At least I can complain with the city and they will put a door hanger on their door. My question is what does one do if campers allow their dogs to bark? It really gets on my nerves after a while. We have 3 dogs and we never let them to be nuisance.

We have found most full time RVers have well behaved dogs. For the rare occasions you can advise park management as most parks state in the rules that barking dogs will not be tolerated. I would rather they be made to move for disturbing others.

RVing probably not a reality any more.It was a good time while it lasted.
There is one of those little yeppers 2nd door over. You will have this issue sometime, however its really not that often. We are lucky to be in a Mobile Suites and when inside the noise out side isn't bad at all. We have a large furr Kid "Montana" and have traveled thousands of miles and he only barks when someone knocks on the door. That is how furr kids lets you kow its his area. But a furr kid only does what the Alpha male let him do, you have to be leader of the pack. We are blessed to have Montana he minds as good as our kids did.

There will be more and more RV parks banning dogs and I'm not surprised after our experience this year. Each winter we stay for three months at an RV park on the edge of the rainforest at Cairns (QLD Australia). The park is one of the very few in the area that allows pets and normally there are no problems... this year the continual yapping of dogs drove many of us mad. The yappers concerned were all of the lap-dog variety, many owners had two of them!! The larger dogs were not a problem at all.
The owners of the dog behind us were approached on a number of occasions by various park residents and asked to quieten their dogs with the result being that the complainants were abused.
For the first time in our seven years of RVing we ended up complaining to management about the continual barking to discover that we were only one of many who had complained.
I understand that there may be a surprise in store for those owners when they try to book a site for next year in that they may be told you are welcome but your dog isn't.
