Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Our Dream Job!

We have been diligently pursuing our dream job for fulltiming.  We just spent 10 days in Albuquerque at the Balloon Fiesta doing a dry run.  This week we found out we GOT IT!!!

We both have experience working for a music festival here in Kansas and used our contacts to create a job for ourselves.  This new job will have us working for a company that provides the  ticketing software and ticketing scanning equipment for each festival they contract with.  We will be travelling from festival to festival, setting up equipment, training on how the equipment works and troubleshooting any problems.

We will have 3 to 4 weeks between each festival and the farthest travel distance between will be 740 miles.  PLENTY of time for taking it easy and the BEST part is that we will spend a month in the area around our children!  We will also be travelling to places where we can get back in touch with friends and family we haven't seen in a while!

2nd best....this will allow us to NOT work over the winter and just enjoy.

Dave has already put his notice in for his last day of 15 March, so we will be ready to go for our first festival at the end of March!

We are so excited, we will barely be able to make it through the next 5 months!!!

Doris

Very very cool. Goes to show that if you think outside the box you can create a need for a job when one doesn't exist. Congrats and enjoy. Please keep us posted......

How fun...sounds like a good gig and allows you plenty of time to have MORE fun when not working. Very cool!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes!  We are looking very forward to being "mobile" fulltimers instead of "stationary" fulltimers!

Now to make it through the next 5 months!!!
