Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Ceiling Fan not performing

Well,  I am putting this out there against my better judgement...Our Newmar ToyHauler has a 4-blade 120v ceiling fan and for some odd reason it seems to not spin as fast as it used to. Any comments...I could not find a fuse and it is not tripped a circuit breaker.  I could not find a mfg on the unit or in the operator manual except AH-42.  Oh,  I have not tried disassembly yet as it requires blade removal.  Any clue on whats wrong...Thanks...

Is there a possibility its 3 speed fan and someone pulled the chain and has it in a slower speed?

Well, I spoke to Newmar and they don't even know the MFG of the unit as they receive many different ones from various sources. He is supposed to find out more info. and get back to me, but we have'nt asked him for a replacement yet. Most of the time I can get them to see things my way to get a new one for no cost. We will see how this one rolls out.

George, yes it is a 3-spd control w/separate wall on/off switch. I tried all speeds and no difference... all slow moving. Might just be a faulty motor...don't know. Thanks...Tom

If they won't spring for a free unit, you will probably do better getting a replacement at Lowes or Home Depot.
