Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We want to buy a MH and really are leaning towards older ones too cost wise, but have come across one place we were thinking of going saying they have a 12 yr restriction but to send them photo How commen is this,,we were looking into long term stay. We live in Canada by the way
We've run across this quite a bit in nicer parks. Most of the time they seem to allow the stay if the photos show the rig to be in good shape and well kept. They just don't want rigs with blue tarps keeping the rain out!

Yes i have been reading such comments from others tonight. We were looking into a rv near us and sent them a picture of it it is a 89 and they said it looked fine,i just hated to have to buy a newer one because of this, but yet didnt want to limit places to stay either.
We have a 92 Beaver and have never been turned away from a CG that we have wanted to stay at. I have heard that some of the "high end" CGs will not allow older RVs, but we never stay there anyway. There's lots of other parks that are willing to take our money.
Like CKerr said, if it looks nice, you shouldn't have any problems.

In our almost 5 years of traveling we have now stayed in 290 campgrounds and we have been asked the age of our rig maybe 12 times. It's really not an issue.
That's not to say that some snooty, motorhome only, "resorts" don't have strict age rules, but we couldn't, and wouldn't if we could, stay at these discriminatory places.
As others have said, most campgrounds are more interested in the condition of the rigs, rather than their age.
