Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Trip

G'Ma and I are planning a trip to the Texas hill country over the holiday weekend. Planning on staying on Lake LBJ. As hot as it has been here, I may spend the whole time in the lake (hard to sleep in water).
Anyone else going anywhere for the weekend?

Mallo, y'all be safe, have a fun trip. Say hello to some of my kin' fokes as you go through Arkansas. Don't worry about where you are just say howdy and speaking to one of them.

Hey Bubbadan. Not planning to travel, but will be right here in Austin. Maybe we can stop by and say hi! Where are you planning to stay?

In the Spring, during wildflower season, we stayed on Lake Buchanan. Wish I could think of the name of the campground. It was by the dam. What a beautiful area. We will get back there someday.

In meantime, you have a great trip.

I've stayed at Inks Lake before.  Nice park... Caught the only fish I've ever caught in Texas there.  I don't know anything about the other place.  I also stayed at Canyon of the Eagles.  They have new management now, so not sure what's going on there.  It's a nice park with lots of hiking trails.  Hopefully the new management is keeping things up better.

Inks Lake Park,

Great place----for many decades. last time that I camped there was , easy now, 1960, in a tent, ok some of us did not even have a tent.
Water ski heaven as I recall and even met some GIRLS, one of whom's Dad had a very nice boat!

I start my next volunteer stint at Malheur NWR in Oregon next week, so my guess is I'll be working the visitor's center on the weekend! :)
