Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Accident was May 15 in Texas. Dealer in Tx sealed it so it is livable. Took to dealer in NJ (where we bought it) on May 24 for them to order parts, etc. They FINALLY ordered parts on July 2. We have been perstering, nagging and together unhappy with them for their unnecessary delays. We had check from insurance company just two and a half weeks after the accident.
FINALLY all parts arrived on Friday. We took it to dealer yesterday. They say it will take AT LEAST a week and a half.
We have commitment in NC starting Sept 11. Will we make it? Sure hope so.
In meantime, moved into a motel. So - our first summer as fulltimers has been spent sitting in daughters driveway waiting. But, quite possibly we are seeing the end of this ordeal.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you Phyllis. For future reference, we've had the best service from Bob Jone's RV Shop in South Houston. They are not a dealer, but rather an independent repair shop. They took care of warranty work when the dealer we purchased our toyhauler from wouldn't. So we tend to look for independent repair facilities now. They only stay in business by providing good service!

Based on your experience with this damage, I would recommend that everyone take care with the dealer from whom they choose to purchase. Even though the salesman is friendly and helpful, it wouldn't hurt to research through the Better Business Bureau and other sources to really check them out.
We purchased a Mobile Suites, which are NOT inexpensive models, from a dealer that we knew. We knew them because we had purchased two other campers from the same folks. So, should it be that someone doesn't KNOW the dealership, ask around for folks and check online for reviews or any comments about the dealership as a whole.
Prayers are with you that everything works out for you in the future. You've had enough "rocky" experiences already, so you deserve better in the future.
Terry
