Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I was wondering if you are still planning on trying for a fall rally in the East Coast area ? My husband and I have been wanting to attend one of your rallies now for over a year. They have been just a little too far away for us to get to. I am hoping you are still looking into it..patti
We were planning on doing a Fall Rally here at our workamping location at Thunder Bay Resort in Hillman, MI. Since we have more lodging than RV sites, we were thinking about the possibility of gearing it more to those without rigs yet.
However, we've been a bit wishy-washy on going through with it. The facilities here are not as conducive to a Rally as we would like, although they would be adequate. As of now, I think we've waited too long to make a decision as it would have to be held within the next month.
So, unless we get a major response of those that could come the week before Labor Day through the Sunday before Labor Day (things get booked up here more as the fall colors start), we'll probably have to just wait for the 2011 Rally.
We are still working on details and waiting on responses from possible venues, but we hope to have a spring Rally in the east.
I like the idea of having a rally for not only full-timers, but for part-timers and want-a-bees, thus, the required lodging within close proximity. Sounds like crunch time to get a rally planned this late in August, so hopefully something works out for 2011. Although we're in Arizona, we'll probably be spending 18 months in DC circa summer '11, so may be able to make something on the East Coast.
