Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Planning tomorrow's overnight stop

We are traveling with no schedule. Example, today we setup for a couple of days and then looked at the map to determine where we go next. Then we consulted WOODALL'S and RVPARKREVIEWS.com to find a park.

Of course all parks are not in either.

What do those on the list use to find a park when you have not been in an area?

We are new at this RV game so would appreciate any input.

Thanks
CCC and Pat

We use Passport America parks a lot.  We also use the list of Walmarts - available through the Discovery Owners website.

We use the Trailer Life Campground Navigator program. Just plug in a destination and the program will show you all the listed TL campgrounds in the area.

Another thing you can do is just plug in a city in Google maps with the search term "campgrounds near XXXXX"

Good luck,

I also use Passport America when possible (50% discount). I first go to the PA website, find PA parks in the area where I want to be, then cross check those parks on RVParkReviews.com to make sure that the park is a nice place. Sometimes there's no nice PA parks, I then spend the extra money on a decent place. I use RVParkReviews.com alot.

I will find a city along the way and do a google search "campgrounds ABC City" and usually get a list of several nearby.

Often the RV Parks Review.com will be one of the first to popup showing nearby campgrounds.

Another way I search is on www.bing.com/maps.com . Put in the city and state and look in the left hand column for the business list, select more, travel, Campgrounds & RV Resorts.

A list of campgrounds will pop up showing the distance from the city. Also shows the ratings for the campground so you can eliminate the low rated easily.

That Bing.com/maps is neat, thanks for the tip.

Bear ,

The BING referral appears that it will be a big help as CG' that have no ad in Woodall's, not in Passport, nor reviewed by rvparkreives, show up.

Neat.

Thanks,
CCC
