Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Anybody going to "the Rally" in Louisville at end of July. We decided to drive over and get a day pass. Would love to meet fellow dreamers if you are attending. Howard, if you read this any restaurant recommendations? We will arrive on Friday July 23, do the rally on Saturday and depart Sunday.
I will be doing the Day Pass on Thursday the 22nd. Sorry to miss you, but thee will be literally thousands of people taking my place on Friday. ;)
Not sure where you will be staying, but on of my favorite places to eat in Lousiville is Ditto's on Bardstown Road. It is not as fancy, but the food is always delicious!
For a fancier place downtown try the Camberly Brown Hotel. Unique and a trip back in time.

Last year at the NJ Rally we won free admission (dry camping) to the National. Had planned on going. However, due to damage to fifthwheel (not yet fixed) and being needed to attend to ill family members, unable to go.
Maybe some other year. But it won't be at a discounted rate. (We were planning on paying difference to update to FHU's)
Sherry and I will be arriving on the 21st and will be parked in lot 3. This will be our first BIG RALLY!!! Looking forward to making new friends and having fun.

I am ten miles south of the Kentucky Exhibition Center and it was near one hundred degrees today. We arrive yesterday and found it hotter than Jacksonville, FL.
We primarily came up for a surprise birthday party tomorrow night for Ethel's brother. She flies back Wednesday a.m. and I will stay to walk the show Friday.
Oh, if you are coming, do not bother to bring a jacket or sweater.

My wife and I will be attending the Rally for a couple of days. We are interested to learn more about the RV Lifestyle, pro's and con's of different RV's and to learn as much as we can about full timing (my wife is waming up to the idea!). This is our first RV event, any tips for a couple of rookies???
#1 Comfortable shoes #2 The patience of Job #3 Do not try to see it all (hone in on your main interest) #4 Take breaks and have fun #5 Realize it can be fun, educational and will be tiring
Oh, have a plan should you get separated! Enjoy!!

Thanks ROZ! Those are great tips... It's kind of hard for someone who has never been to anything like this to understand just how large the event will be! We are anxiously looking forward to take in as much as possible!
