Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We went on Saturday and got the new 5'vr out of storage at the dealers. Had to fill the fresh water tank as the parks around here don't have the water turned on yet, and headed to our first campground. It was exciting and stressful all at the same time. Everything went well. Used the check lists I've garnered from lots of posts here on RV-Dreams. I'm not sure we would have survived with out all that help. We've started moving our stuff from the apartment to the trailer. Since we don't have FHUs or water at the park we are going back and forth for showers etc. will be nice when we are able to just be in the campground. Our lease isn't up until the end of May so have lots of time to move and organize -always wanted to do that with my S&B moves but never got the chance. I'm determined to be very organized as we do not have a large rig. Yesterday was pure bliss - our son joined us for a little fishing, cooking out and campfire. The weather was perfect and we were in heaven. Thanks to all who have helped us along the way. In August we will retire and truly be out on the road and hope to meet you all along the way. I'm sure we will have more questions as our journey is just beginning. :)

Congratulations! In these tight spaces organization is the key. You are doing it the right way. Moving little by little and taking your time. I wish we could have done that. Instead, we had to box everything and put it in storage for a couple of weeks and then move it all from storage. There were several days of disarray and it was a bit overwhelming, but we feel like we're finally getting there. It sounds like you'll have plenty of time to get settled, so take your time and enjoy!
Janie - it is good to hear you picked up your camper. I hope the move goes well for you. You are right it is nice to take the time to move, but believe me the camper will fill up quickly. We still aren't totally moved in and there are not many empty spaces left. If you ever get to Des Moines, stop in, we are at Griff's RV Park.
Thanks everyone. Weathered are first severe weather luckily it mainly went around us. We did pull the sides in for awhile. It is spring in Iowa. It's nice to be staying in our new home.
