Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Our year for moving on to our new adventure....fulltiming in our home on wheels. We are Craig and Sue from Iowa. Our family and friends think we are crazy but we know this is our future full of new beginnings. I can't remember how I came upon this site while surfing but must say I am glad that I did. The wealth of knowledge associated with this site is beyond belief. I am so grateful to have found RV-Dreams.com. Craig has not taken as much time to look around as I but I keep him informed of what I am learning from all of you. Thank you for that. We will be out there on the road before we know it and will surely become friends with many of you either through the net or the road. I plan to stay in touch here as I am sure I will have many questions for you. Happy Trails to all!

I am still a wannabe and doing the homework before retiring in about 7-8 years. Can't go until then but finding this site was like walking into a library of information. That and the folks here are very nice and helpful.
Howard and Linda built a good community and the inhabitants are great.

Dreaming and doing the homework necessary.
Looking at: F-350/Ram 3500 type truck, possibly an Airstream or a smaller 5th Wheel.
However, there is still time to change the configuration, just a plan.
Way back when, I served with a young man from Dubuque. Good to meet some more Iowans.
Good luck on all the searching and researching.
Jo and I test drove a couple of Tiffen Phaetons, one a 40 footer and a 42 footer with a tag axle. Very nice units, but a little too pricey for us. We're going with a fifth wheel.
Have fun, life demands it.

Bring on those questions. The friendly folks here will try to answer them for you if they can.
Good luck with your pans.

Welcome Craig and Sue! We also are fellow Iowans getting ready to full time. After this winter I am more than ready to find somewhere else for winter. We may have to stick it out one more but that's ok. If you are ever in the Cedar Rapids area let us know. We will be living in our RV this summer in the parks around here since we are still working. Would love to meet you!

Welcome,3 years is a good amount of time to start. It will pass by faster than you can imagine. We started planning in 2006 and have everything done except selling our house. I suggest the first thing to plan is trying to be debt free when you set out. That makes everything else easy to do . For us the hardest thing to do in the beginning was getting rid of "stuff".Once you get started it gets easier and easier. Good luck and let the adventure begin.

RVing probably not a reality any more.It was a good time while it lasted.
We are also in the planning stage. But are hoping to be on the road before the snow flys next fall. We have the house on the market right now and are waiting and working on selling stuff..
Lots of stuff!! Enjoy and the time will fly. Hope to meet you two on the road in the future!
