Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
OK! Only a few days left for you to register for the RV-Dreams Rally in South Carolina.
I was just looking at the list of RV Dreamers that have already signed up, and 13 of them have attended one or both of the past rallies, and I know that some of those 13 have been Full-timing for quite a few years. I take that to mean that they had a good time, learned a lot and want to learn more.
Linda and I went to the first one and even though we have been Full-Timing for quite awhile we both learned a lot. If you're just starting out, or just beginning to plan to go full-timing, you'll learn more than you could ever imagine.
Yeah, I know it cost more than staying in a State Park for a week, but the money you'll save by not making some serious mistakes while going through the process of becoming full-timers will more than pay for the rally.
And, even if you have it all figured out, come and enjoy meeting all your friends from the Forum. I can almost guarantee you'll have a great time.
Oh, and you Full-timers that have been out here on the road for awhile, you can help answer some the questions that the Wanna-bees have, and make their transitions easier.
Linda and I are looking forward to seeing some of the RV Dreamers that we've met in the past and are looking forward to meeting a whole lot more of you at the Rally.
Come on and sign up. You'll have a great time!
Jim and Linda

I know most of you out there are either full timers, or wanting to full time, but want you to know, there are folks like Mister Alfie and I, who are part-timers, who attend and enjoy the rally too. You don't have to be full timers to attend... like us, we look forward so much to the fellowship of the great folks that are RV Dreamers, and look upon them as being our wonderful friends. So.... don't let it stop you from attending because you don't fall into the full time mold.. and most of all.. don't feel as if you would be a square peg in a round hole..
These are great folks, and they will welcome you with open arms.. and lots of hugs..
We would so love to go but the timing and location just won't work this time, but we'll keep learning on the forum and hope we can make it to the next one.

You don't have to own an RV to attend the Rally. At the first rally we had a few people there without RVs. Check the Rally Info page for more information. We've been to that area and there are a lot of Motels and Hotels not too far away.
I'm sure you would learn a lot about purchasing an RV and getting ready to full-time. Try to make it if you can. The RV Dreamers are a great bunch of people and will welcome you whether you have an RV or not.
Hope to see you in April,
Jim

We would love to attend this year, but the timing just isn't going to work out fo us. We had an absolute blast at the October Rally in Kerrville. Although our primary reason for attending was the education (and it was very educational!), we were astounded by the camaraderie. I can honestly say that the attendees, as well as the hosts, is what made it memorable. If we could be there this year, we would be. So any of you who are on the fence about attending, I would highly recommend it. For those of you who are already signed up, enjoy! And know we'll be there with you in spirit.
YAY - we registered yesterday and chose our site - probably miles away from everyone, but we don't even have a rig yet, anyway. I sure hope we can find one before the rally, but if not we'll be staying in our timeshare nearby and will attend all the fun and informative stuff. Maybe we'll wait to purchase AFTER the rally when we know a little more. See you all there!
We are one of those without an RV yet. We will be staying in one of the cabins. Our house will be going on the market around March 1st but the RV will not be purchased until it's sold. We live in NC and it's just too close by to lose the opportunity to attend this rally. We so look forward to meeting everyone and learning all we can learn! Look forward to meeting all of you!
We don't have our RV yet either..couple years out yet. We are staying at the Courtyard Myrtle Beach Barefoot Landing, coming in Sunday afternoon late. This is step two(?) of many on our road to full timing. Going to come like sponges, soaking in all info from everyone :)
Hey! This is great! Glad to hear some of you without RVs are coming to the Rally.
I have to agree with Connie. Besides Howard and Linda's excellent Seminars, you will learn a whole lot by talking to other RVers who have "been there, done that".
Everyone has different experiences and viewpoints on the RVing lifestyle and their knowledge can be immeasurable.
Plus...they're a fun bunch to be around.
Just 6 more days left to register and get an RV site at Willow Tree.

We will be there only if the house sells. We attended the 2008 Branson Rally and the 2009 Kerrville Rally. The friends that are made at the rally are friends for life. Very educational for those looking to fulltime. Fingers crossed that the house sells soon.
We attended the 09 Rally in Kerrville. Was a great time and we learned a lot and met some great people. Can't make this one as we are trying to get house sold and can't leave right now. If you can possibly make it you will enjoy it.

RVing probably not a reality any more.It was a good time while it lasted.
Dave and I would like to attend, but it just isn't in the cards this year due to location and timing. Our one week of vacation during the first half of the year is already allocated. In the future, however, . . .

Pam and I will not be attending this year, , the time of year for someone coming out of the snow belt is not going to work for us. We are still planning an extended trip just departing later in April. Hopefully by then the snow is gone. Our departure date is going to be driven by the weather. So for this year we will have to pass and continue on with our plans on being part-timers so hopefully we will come across some of you out there this year.

Have fun at the Rally! We attended the Branson rally, and it was great! We had so much fun, learned alot, and made a lot of great new friends!
We'll be using those days off (still workin' stiffs!) to get a few warranty items taken care of at Newmar, so that we're ready for the summer camping season . . . hopefully we'll have decent weather in Indiana!

We just signed up, I called Willow Tree, they where closed, i went on line and saw no mention of the Rally and did not know which sites where reserved for us, so i will call the office tomorrow, G.
Only today and tomorrow left to register for the Rally!!!
If any of you are still sitting on the fence, now is the time to make the move. You'll have a great time and will learn so much form the seminars and talking with other Dreamers.
Don't put it off any longer.
Hope to see you in April!
