Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are wannabes here in Oklahoma and are undertaking the necessary steps to becoming fulltimers. There is so much to do and learn and decide. What do we get rid of more important where do we start. My hubby is retired and I have another year and a half to go before retiring. We are so looking forward to being out on the road and seeing this great country of ours. A country that some people seem to not appreciate. We are discovering a wonderful new community of caring folks out there in the RV world. We look forward to meeting you out on the road when we are finally able to get there.
Peace in the New Year

Welcome to the Dreamers forum and Merry Christmas. There are lots of friendly folks here so be sure to ask lots of questions. Plenty of experience is found here...remember, there are no dumb questions.

Welcome to the forum and hope that you are having a Merry Christmas. Sherri and I are in Oklahoma now...don't ask me why we went north with an oncoming winter storm...but we did. Hope to see you post on here often.
Welcome and Merry Christmas This place is loaded with info and great people that have been there and done it before. Just ask and they will tell you their experences good and bad.
Just a note of welcome from some fellow Okies. Jo and I currently live in the Tuttle/Mustang area. I say currently, because we have our home up for sale with the intention of buying our dream fifth wheel whenever the right time comes.
Our plans will include a number of years of living in the fiver until we retire before we get to really start traveling the country. One bit of advice for you is to start now with getting rid of "stuff". "Stuff" is the accumulation of items once considered as essential for normal life. Beginning now to rid yourself of it will make the transition easier once you actually get ready to travel.
Good luck in your planning, and have fun. (By the way, there is an RV show coming up in Fort Worth that is running from January 7-10.) Jo and I are kind of planning on going down with hopes of seeing some 2010 Mobile Suites fifth wheels.

Dave & Suzie, Welcome to the forum. This is a great resource for getting ready for full timing. We are in about the same place as you are in the journey. Getting ready can be overwhelming sometimes but there is always someone here to answer questions or you can find it as you check out all the topics. We have learned so much here, I know you will too!

Dave and Susie, Welcome to RVDeams Forum. This can be the most exciting time of your life, preparing for fulltiming. It can be a little stressful at times but just try to keep your eye on the goal and you will be amazed at how fast the time is flying by. We were where you are now when we first met Howard and Linda. We bought our RV, parked it at our place and filled it with what we were going to take and got rid of the rest except for just a little that we stored at our daughters house. We have been fulltiming for over 2 yrs. and have no regrets. Happy New Year.
God bless, Allan and Jeanne

We are just around the corner from you. We are in Norman. Will have to hook up sometime.
Susie
Susie,
I knew that. I spent some time the other day reading your blog. Good luck with the recovery from your surgery.
What was interesting about your blog is that you spent some time in an area where Jo and I have camped a lot. That being Blue and Bear Lakes in Colorado. We'll have to talk more about that area as there is another campground off of the Highway of Legends where we camped even more than Blue and Bear.
We also spent 2 weeks last August NW of Pagosa Springs. We are planning on going back again next August. There is still a lot in that area to see and photograph.

FYI - Per Bennetts RV the following 2010 DRVs will be displayed at the Ft Worth show: 36 RSSB3 MS, 36 RSSB3 SS and 36 TKSB3 MS. We were thinking of going to the show but really wanted to see some 38'- 40' models so probably will not attend. Waiting to see what may show up at the Houston show in February.

Bill,
We are interested in the 38TKSB3 with the likelyhood of the 38TKSB4 to get the extra space in the bedroom. I have been in contact with Melinda King, who is a DRV representative out of Texas and she is going to be in Ft. Worth for the show when we go down on that Saturday.
According to Melinda, there have been a number of changes that I want to see what they have done. For instance, she told me that the stereo and dvd equipment has been moved back to the living room instead of being in that cabinet in the bedroom. Plus, we want to see some of the fabrics that they are using. I have also been talking to Melinda about numerous modifications that we want to do, and I want to talk face to face instead of doing the e-mail shuffle.
By the way, the new 2010 brochure is now on the DRV website.

Welcome from another Okie. My lovely wife and I lived in Norman for 35 years before hitting the road in 2004. You will love this forum. There are so many caring people and none of the crap you get on other forums.
