Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Why no northern states?

I'm going off of your campground review map.  Based on that, you've never visited the northern-most 2-3 states anywhere from Oregon to Ohio, and nothing in the east and northeast.  Is this by plan or are you slowly traveling the east-west Interstates from south to north?

We certainly intend to visit all the states.  Mostly our travel to this point has been dictated by commitments to our workamping and rallies.

Those commitments along with our slow pace of travel have made it tough to squeeze in northern states in the short warm seasons.  But we'll get there.  smile

This may be out of context, but I wanted to give a plug for my former home state....If you are looking for a campground in northwest Vermont (Burlington, Lake Champlain), North Beach Campground in Burlington is close to the beach, bike path and Burlington waterfront.  It is also close to Church Street (a nice pedestrian mall).  The campground itself isn't fancy (I think it is a city or county park), but there are full hookups and sites for big rigs. If interested, make reservations months in advance because they fill up fast during the short Vermont summers. 

If you are looking for more amenities, but within a short drive to Burlington, then Apple Tree Bay Resort (in Grand Isle, VT I think) may be of interest.  They have a pool and a little golf course and has lake views.

If looking for a little peace and quiet in the country, then Lake Champagne Campground in Randolph, VT is the place to be.  It has a nice pond for swimming and lots of space for a little R&R.

Of course camping season in Vermont doesn't start for another 6 months biggrin
