Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We had a major mishap with our tow dolly and need to find an inexpensive tow dolly immediately. The dolly will need to be adequate to tow a Hyundai Santa Fe.
We're in Alpine, Texas, on our way to Hondo, Texas. We'll be in Hondo or San Antonio until we can locate a tow dolly. If anyone has or knows someone who has a tow dolly for sale, please let me know. We can pick up a dolly anywhere within a 3 hour drive (or more if needed) of Hondo, Texas.
We need to get back to Florida but have to solve our tow problem before we continue our travels.
Any help will be truly appreciated!

Thank you for your response. We went to the U-Haul location in Alpine and they told us U-Haul will not permit rental of a tow dolly to tow a Santa Fe. They said the Santa Fe is too heavy for their equipment.
Thanks again!

We did not have any luck finding a tow dolly so we're moving on to Corpus Christi. Our problem is we don't want to spend too much money on a dolly because we plan to trade the Hyundai in for a 4WD vehicle that can be towed four down.
Still looking for a tow dolly so if anyone knows of one in the Corpus Christi or Houston area or anywhere in between, please let me know.
By the way, for anyone considering full time with a tow dolly instead of towing four down-forget it! It's more hassle than it's worth in my humble opinion. We've had nothing but trouble with our tow dolly and finally the last episode completely destroyed it. We'll be wintering in Florida and hope to solve the problem before we head out in the spring. But first, we're slowly making our way to Florida driving two vehicles until we can locate an inexpensive, used tow dolly.
Any help will be most appreciated!!

My wife and I run a Self Storage facility/ Uhaul Site and I entered your information on the Uhaul website. The cost of the tow dolly from Corpus Christi to Fla would be $126.00 and Uhaul does recommend the tow dolly for your Hyundai Santa Fe. I am guessing the motorhome will be the tow vehicle...right? I would be happy to make the reservations for you if you let me know where you would like to pick the equipment up in Texas.

I used St. Augustine as your drop off location, the price may vary a little depending on your actual drop off location and dates you need the equipment.

Thank you so much!! Due to your response we went to the U-Haul service center in Victoria, Texas to try again. Although they did tell us we could not rent a tow dolly, they had an auto transport trailer available at a reasonable price. We picked up the trailer and now are happily traveling to Florida without driving two vehicles.
Thanks again!!!
