Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

3 yrs. and counting...

"Hi" wanted to introduce myself and my better half.  Steve and I (Merri) are 42 yrs young and like many here are tired of the rat race.  We've decided that we want to hit the road and really start living life but unfortunately this takes time.  Our goal is to achieve this dream within 3 yrs and we see this as very doable.

We have decided to do this in a more unconventional way but one we will document through our blog for everyone to follow.  It might not be for everyone but also may open the eyes of some that anythings possible.

I think we'll end up with a 5th wheel first since this will be the cheapest way for us to hit the road sooner.  Most likely starting with a gently used unit to let someone else take the hit from depreciation.  We've learned some life lessons the hard way, lol...don't need to repeat it again.

Anyway, I look forward to hanging out here, learning the ropes, meeting new friends and sharing our journey.

Merri smile

Yep, I'm here :) I did check out your blog earlier today but then got distracted by the football game on TV and didn't post a welcome message. So let me say Welcome to the forum and best of luck making your dream come true. Full-timing is a wonderful lifestyle.

Welcome to the Forum!

3 years will fly by!  We are not there yet either (fulltiming), but hope to be within the next several years.  Getting the house to sell will help accelerate our plan!  Good luck with your planning, looking forward to hearing about your process.

Thank you everyone!

I've been cruising the pages here and the information is fantastic. Thanks for all the hard work in putting this together for the rest of us folks.

Obviously the next couple years will be somewhat boring as I won't have much to report but as time ticks closer I'll be sure to share everything I can to help others. I do hope the next 2-3 years fly and I'm ready for take-off.

Merri

Welcome to the forums.  From what you have said, you have already found out how much knowledge can be found here.

Good luck in your planning and execution of a dream.

Terry
