Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Does anyone from Canada use Magic Jack? We recently bought one from the Magic Jack website, but we had to take a U.S. phone number. It's a low one time charge (I believe less the $100 for 5 years) You can call anyone in North America. It connects to your computer and is wonderful if you are away and want to contact your friends, family or business associates. Apparently, you can now buy them in Canada.
Shimonts, We stay here in Yuma most of the year, our friends in the next site are form Kamloops, Alberta,CA. They went home a couple of months ago and we have called each other several times, it works very good. The currect deal is $59.95 for 5 years. As to the tel-number we both have Yuma numbers, but can call all of North America for free. We both use Skye, if you down load skype and use it PC to PC it's free no matter where you call. You can make a Skype call with or wothout video if you want.

No, hadn't heard of it. We got Verizon cell phones our second year out but they are pricey and you have to have a US address. Since my husband is originally from the U.S. that wasn't a problem but the Magic Jack is definitely something to look into. The reason we got cell phones is for communication between the two of us. My husband is often out early on photo shoots and we wanted to be able to communicate in case he was going to be late or something like that.
