Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
At the beginning of May we bought an older bus conversion to live in. This Friday (May 29th) we will be moving back to Iowa from Oregon with it and it will be a big test for our 1964 MCI Challenger bus conversion. We've driven it about 80 miles so far (on the interstate, up some inclines) and haven't had a problem yet but it's got to go about 1700 miles. Once we take off in it we will officially be fulltime RVers that however still own a primary residence.
The previous owners named it "I Think I Can"; if you see us along the way you can't miss it. If you see us on the side of the road don't worry, we do have Good Sams RV Emergency Roadside Service.
We haven't told any of our family or friends yet about the bus for a couple reasons, thankfully they don't know anything about this forum. Our plan plan is just to show up and sounding the big air horns once we get home. We'll update you once we get home.
Hope you don't need ERS for anything. Have a safe trip. If you find internet access drop us a line and let us know how the trip is progressing. Should be a good shake out cruise for your rig...
