Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
As I have posted before, Hubby and I were planning to fulltime starting 2/1/09. Then the world fell apart for me. As time got closer, he got more and more distant. Finally weeks before our "takeoff" date, he decided he needed to work two more years, took the fifth wheel, left me and moved to a local campground.
To update my friends here, we were separated less than a month. We have sold our house to my daughter and are living in our Fiver. I am working just two days a week and he is still working full time. We are hoping our investments rebound because like a lot of other people have seen our weath shrink by at least 50%. We are planning to again take off to fulltime when he turns 62 in 2011 or our investments return to a suitable level, whichever comes sooner.
But - we have found our current fifth wheel is just not suitable for our needs. So, on Friday we take possession of a 2009 Montana 3455SA. We love the floor plan. Can't wait for the bigger kitchen. We had planned on buying a new rig at some point and this seemed the right time. Our current living expenses are minimal. We have found a place to park on a private in a wooded, country property with 5 other rigs. Only $350. a month and that INCLUDES cable and electric. Can't beat it!
I need to thank all my friends here for their kind words. Most especially Coleen. With patience, counseling and God's help we will still get to meet you down the road.
We're wishing you only the best, and like we said on the other thread, "We'll be waiting for you."

Many plans have changed because of the economy....My Dentist, who had been some what scarce around his office, leaving the work to the other 4 Dentist he had working at his clinic, was required to once again to return to actual dental work, instead of living off his investments and profits of his Dental Office. Now he is saying the well known words "open wide".
Yes, many plans have changed, including returning to work or working a few more years than planned.
AND for those who have to change, remember it is just a slight detour in life.

Phyllis, That is such great news. We are so happy for you guys and will continue to keep you in our prayers. Don't worry about that detour road - there are lots of folks on it. Keep your eye on the target and you'll get there.
